A few examples of adjective in Minnon language

Just like other languages, Minnon has plenty of adjectives and below are a few of them:-

  1. Swee – Beautiful
  2. Khut – Slippery
  3. Dang – Heavy
  4. Bey Bhai – Better or not bad
  5. Red – Aung
  6. Theng – Long
  7. Kheh – Short
  8. Tam – Wet
  9. Gor – Five
  10. Chap – Ten
  11. Neng – Two

Example :

That women has beautiful eye – He re char bour e Bak chiu wu ia Swee – again you can see that the Minnon phrase here is not really tally with English, if one word by one word translates the Minnon phrase will be something likes — That women eye really beautiful instead of That women has beautiful eye!

Most of the time Minnons adjective will go to the end of phrase instead of describes an object, for example, The wet floor when translates to Minnon becomes the floor wet, The wet floor – Thor Kha Tam, Floor = Thor Kha, Wet = Tam!

Last one, two eggs = neng liap khei neng, two = neng, eggs = khei neng

Alright, hope you all like this lesson and see you all in the coming chapter!
